About the companies

"Olson Bros - Tiger Chassis" was established in 1980 by Steve Olson and was focused on the collecting and restoration of historic 'Team Arctic' race snowmobiles.  (Steve's impressive album of 29 remarkable collectables will be added to this website soon.)  In addition, Steve also raced ice drags and speed runs himself getting to know the snowmobile industry well.

As the public began to see Steve's collection, his reputation for his extraordinary workmanship began to spread quickly.  He was sought out by many organizations throughout the U.S. to provide special custom products, but Steve's love of snowmobiles brought him full circle.  In 1987, Steve built the very first modified Kitty Cat, which is now located in a museum in southern Minnesota.

Since then, Steve has continued to be the key pioneer of mini-snowmobile research & development, and the foremost product supplier in the industry.  Thanks to the many loyal and repeat customers and dealers, Steve's products have continued to pave the way for mini-snowmobile racing.  And although a few others have acquired, tried to copied, and then undersell many of his original designs, be assured that no duplicated products work as well on the race track as the Original Equipment Manufacturer's (OEM), Olson Bros - Tiger Chassis.  Although you might think this would anger him, Steve's philosophy is that this is what drives everyone to keep the sport moving forward with new ideas and innovations, and he's confident that he will always be a few steps in front of the competition.

Steve is also a prototype tester for many other product manufacturers.  Although we need to keep most of this information confidential, one example is that Steve began installation and testing of the first JR belt drive prototype clutches two years before they were released to the public.  Just a few other accolades of Steve's leadership in this sport include: First mini independent front suspension; first mini slide-rail suspension; first mini high-performance cleated track; first modified 120cc; and the first and only ever Kitty Cat twin tracker. STAY TUNED - There are many extraordinary products coming out late this year and for the 2005-2006 race season.  If your lucky you might even see some prototypes on the race track later this year.  Also, watch for our completely new 120cc design that's surely to set a new standard for racing.  Pre-season orders will be taken following this race season.  Keep checking back on our website as we will release new information here first.

"Olson Brothers Ultimate Performance Sales" (OBUPS) was established in 2004 by Jonn Olson (Steve's Brother) to focus on sales and marketing for specialized products, including the mini-snowmobile market.  With the overwhelming growth of Olson Bros - Tiger Chassis, it was obvious that the business direction had to change to meet the customers growing needs.

With this tactical business partnership firmly in place between the two companies, we are confident that we are securely positioned to meet all of our customer needs now and in the distant future.

Company Profile

We are comprised of two Minnesota based companies who have been providing products to customers throughout the U.S. and Canada since 1980 via phone orders and walk-ins.  We have recently decided to enhance our customer services by adding additional employees, restructuring our business model, and adding an on-line store.  These changes will present our customers with availability to more affordable products and provide quicker overall response to customer service and delivery.
