Shipping & Handling
How much is shipping & handling?
Our standard domestic shipping method is the US Postal Service, however, if another carrier such as UPS, FedEx, or Spee Dee Delivery is quicker and/or more economical, we may use another carrier at our discretion. Standard shipping & handling rates from this on-line store was initially based on total transaction amount and are currently: $0-$99.99 = $11.99, $100-$199.99 = $15.99, $200-$299.99 = $19.99, $300-$399.99 = $24.99, $400 and more = $29.99. (NOTE: PayPal is our credit card processor, and starting in 2012 they have made changes where some of our on-line customers have had their shipments calculated based on their location instead of the above method, which has been outside our control.) Shipment pricing is for economy shipping, however, we typically try upgrade your shipping to USPS Priority Mail at our expense and at our descretion. Faster shipping options are available and prices may vary, so please contact us to request faster shipping options at 651-395-2296. A $8.50 charge is added for C.O.D. shipments. There will be a $10 delivery surcharge applied, if the carrier, (i.e. Fedex) determines that address supplied by the customer is incorrect. Please enter addresses carefully. Orders which are returned to us because recipient was not available and/or packages refused without being delivered may be accessed a $10 shipping fee.
International orders will be shipped via the U.S. Postal Service Parcel Post, First Class, or most economical means available. Due to huge shipping rate increases over the past few years, we've been forced to change our rates to reflect the increase and based on the total transaction amount in your shopping cart the rates are currently: $0-$99.99 = $34.99, $100-$199.99 = $44.99, $200-$299.99 = $49.99, $300-$399.99 = $59.99, $400 and more = $69.99. Many times these rates don't cover the full cost of shipping and we pay the difference. If you require Priority Mail or Next Day, please contact us for shipping price estimates. On average, International shipments arrive within 5-10 business days, but can sometimes be delayed at bordor customs. We offer no guarantees for International delivery times. Please note there may be additional custom duties or other taxes that will have to be paid for upon delivery of the shipment by the customer. We do not know if or what these charges are in advance as they are not charged by us and are charged by your government at the delivery location. Please check with your government to determine your possible charges before you order. NOTE: If you choose to have your order shipped via UPS or FedEx, there may be additional brokerage fees required upon delivery to pay for subcontracted delivery companies. This is why we recommend the use of US Postal Services. If you ask us to pre-pay the customs fees to speed the delivery time, what we pay is only an estimate and does not include potential broker fees. If we are charged extra customs taxes or brokerage fees after delivery, those will be charged to your credit card. On larger orders or oversized packages sent internationally, we may ask you to pay slightly higher shipping fees to cover the additional shipping charges. You will be notified of this after placing your order. If you need overnight or faster shipping, please contact us before placing your order.
Are items in stock?
We pride ourselves in stocking nearly all of the more popular products we sell. With the infinite number of products we have available to us and in order to maintain lower costs for our customers, unfortunately we can't stock all items. Turn-around on products not in stock are usually one to three days due to having local distributors and manufactures, but in some rare cases can still be 3 to 10 days.
NOTE: Due to COVID and production restrictions by some of our suppliers, please be aware that there may be delays in shipping while we continue to work hard to source products from other suppliers. It's equally frustrating for us when products take weeks or months to reach us, but please know that we are doing everything we can to get your orders out as quickly as possible. In some cases we may ship partial orders to get you as many products as we have available, then we pay the shipping to get the remainder shipped to you at a later date.
Many internet resellers do what is called "drop-shipping." This is where the company you are buying from is not the company actually sending you the item and can usually cause delays in you getting what you ordered or you receive the wrong item. At Olson Brother's Distributing, Inc. (OBUPS.COM), we always have the product delivered to us for inspection prior to shipping it to you to ensure you receive the correct quality products the first time. At our discretion we may "drop-ship" if the customer has a special time sensitive need and our manufacturer supports drop-shipping.
Although rare, it is still possible for us and our distributors to be out of an offered item, especially our international distributors. If we are out of an item we will do everything possible to acquire it quickly and/or communicate to you the estimated time of arrival.
When will my order ship? Due to covid these estimates may be delayed.
When will I receive my order?
You can check with USPS.com to get an estimated time of delivery from our zip code of 55079 to your zip code. Since we are located in Minnesota and are centrally located in the US, our shipping is typically just a few days.
Will sales tax be added to my order?
Sales tax is added to orders being shipped to Minnesota residence at the current rate of 7.125%, and will be viewable during the checkout process. Because of the court ruling in South Dakota, some states outside MN will be charged sales tax. You will see this during checkout.
How long do I have to make a return?
Olson Brother's Dist, Inc. (OBUPS) gives you a full 14 calendar days to return any items purchased as long as they are still new, unused, and in the original packaging. You will receive credit for the purchase price of the item (shipping & handling charges are not refunded). We replace defective items with the same item only, also within 14 calendar days. We do not accept large returns of products, such as waiting until the end of a race season and then return all unused products purchased throughout the season.. There are no returns allowed for special order items.
What is considered "Special Order"?
If an item you request to purchase does not show on our website, please consider it a special order item. Since we do not stock or advertise that we carry the specific item, we can't accept a return. If you return a product that is a special order item, you will NOT be refunded anything and if you want the product back you'll need to pay the postage to return it back to you. Therefore, please DO NOT attempt to return special order products and if you're not sure if they are special order, then email us at the RETURNS link below which you should do anyways.
What do I need to do for a return?

Are there any restrictions or restocking charges?
If we are notified by email within 72 hours of your receiving your shipment of any problems with your order, there are no restocking fees of any kind. If it is a special order item or it's returned more than 14 calendar days from the delivery date/time, there will be a 20% restocking fee. Unfortunately we are not able to refund the original shipping & handling charges. NOTICE: We will not pay for return shipping on any returned items, so please DO NOT ship items back "Postage Due". We have notified the post office to automatically return those packages marked "postage due".
What if my order is wrong or damaged?
We do our best to package your items as well as possible and to be as thorough as we can be. Unfortunately there are sometimes problems with items getting damaged in transit or human errors in shipping. All we ask is that you contact us via email at CUSTOMER immediately or call 651-395-2296 to let us know and we will make sure your problem is resolved as soon as possible. Olson Brothers Dist. Inc. can not be held responsible for incidental or consequential damages incurred for ANY reason including, but not limited to, compatibility, product defects, delays and or typographical errors.
